Olympus E-510 Review : Olympus is making waves with the digital SLR cameras. The models are quickly being improved and renewed. We still await the successor of the E-1 (Olympus E-3), but the Olympus E-510 D-SLR gives us a taste of what is to come. The Olympus E-510 is the successor of the E-500, which was released more than a year and a half ago. The changes made to the E-400 in the E-410 were minimal, but the Olympus E-510 digital SLR is truly different from its predecessor. An important change is the image sensor. Olympus uses a Panasonic sensor for the E-510 instead of a Kodak sensor. The CCD has been replaced with the LiveMOS. As the name suggests, the Olympus E-510 also has Live View,

If the four colors in which Olympus offers its tough little µ 790 SW don’t quite float your boat, there’s no need to panic. There is now a fifth option in the form of this fetching shade of lime green. Guaranteed to attract the attention of any (conscious) subject you should choose to aim it at, the camera also promises exclusivity with a mere 5000 to be distributed across Europe. The pricing should remain the same as the ‘standard’ edition.

Sleek, sexy, stylish… not words you often hear when talking about compact digital cameras. But hear them you will if you take Samsung’s NV11 out to take pictures. Samsung’s NV line certainly looks good, and the NV11 looks just as stylish as its siblings in the line. How do the images that come out of it compare to its flashy exterior? Let’s take a look. The NV11 keeps the 10.1-megapixel output of its NV10 predecessor, with a new lens with extended zoom range and a fast f/2.8 maximum aperture. The $279 (street) compact features a 5X Schneider-Kreuznach zoom lens (38-190mm 35mm equivalent), ISO speeds from 80 to 1600, shutter speeds from 15 to 1/2000th sec., a 2.7-inch,

After exactly one year from my last review of Portrait Professional I was once again asked to do a review of Anthropics Technology Portrait Professional 6 MAX software. Last version that I’ve tested left me in a bit of surprise because I never believed that a piece of software can replace a professional retoucher so fast. That version had some issues that I thought had to be corrected and let’s see did Anthropics developer team did everything right with the new version of Portrait Pro 6.One of the biggest flaws in my opinion was that software needed a constant internet connection to the Anthropics servers because their servers did all the calculations on the photo. Now, in Portrait Pro

Lets Go Digital reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ3 and writes – ‘For myself I must say that I enjoyed using the Panasonic Lumix TZ3 in practice. The improvements compared with its predecessor are obvious. The most striking feature being the 28mm wide angle of course. The compact size, the MEGA O.I.S. image stabilizer and the large optical range together form an ideal combination for this camera carrying the title of Traveler Zoom. The Panasonic TZ3 offers a lot of ease and adds to effortless picture taking which is just what you expect and want from a handy compact camera. The camera is not perfect; the high ISO is still an obstacle for many manufactures and Panasonic is one of them. But

Kodak has announced an improved version of its Professional T-Max 400 film. The new ISO 400 film offers finer grain and greater image sharpness. According to the company, the emulsion has been altered to further minimize light scatter, which can reduce image sharpness. A UV barrier layer has been added to the back of the film in medium-format and 35mm rolls to prevent accidental exposure to static inside the camera. (Large-format sheets, which might be used for contact printing on UV-sensitive materials, do not have the UV layer.) Kodak recommends slight changes in processing time for the new T-Max 400. Development times with Kodak chemistry will be published on the box, and the
